You found it when you were moving, just behind a shelf. You don't remember ever owning it. An off-brand PICO-8 cartridge, black and coated in dust, bearing the title "STRANGE BIRD ISLAND".
Below it is a scrap of paper, ancient and grease-stained. There are notes scrawled onto the opposite side, with a red marker.

up: acelerate accellerate accelerate

cross(x): map?
collect orbs to heal and ascend
become greater
bird"
Curious, you slot the cartridge into your console. What's the worst that could happen?

Thank you for making a game out of my weird cart! I love the aesthetics of the game and the story to go with it. The mechanics of dogfighting games are an interesting puzzle, this one is rewarding once you get the hang of it. I liked being able to bounce off the walls, and the radar feature is really neat.
Nice, certainly a challenge. It does feel like one of those obscure carts that were tough to start but strangely addictive. Well done!
